📖「さよならいちごちゃん」という面白い曲がありまして、その歌詞の一節にある「女の子って突然泣いたり難しいから」というフレーズにピンときて、この歌の世界を考え始めてみました。何か理屈めいたものは省いて、こういうもの、と前提を置いた上で、世界を女の子化していくとしたら、案外世界は正しい方向に向かっていくのかもしれない・・と妄想しながら歌を作っていった感じです。近年、男や女という括りで何かを決めつけるのはあまりよろしくないという流れがありますので、面白くなることを念頭に練り上げていったら、こうなりました・・という感じです。 📖There’s a funny song called “Sayonara Ichigo-chan,” and one line in it — “Girls can suddenly start crying and be hard to understand” — really caught my attention. Rather than trying to justify everything with logic, I started from the simple premise of, “Okay, this is just how things work,” and then wondered what would happen if the whole world gradually became more “girl-like.” Somehow, I started imagining that maybe the world might actually end up moving in a better direction that way. These days, there’s understandably more caution around making broad assumptions about people based on whether they’re men or women, so I kept that in mind and focused on making the idea funny rather than treating it like some serious statement about gender.
