[Verse 1] You stepped in with grace Quiet fire in your eyes Yellow scarf in the wind Held the whole room still You made brave look kind Made a spark feel real Every child in the front row Learned how heroes heal [Pre-Chorus] And we still remember The light you carried home Soft but never fading You were never alone [Chorus] Trini Kwan, shine on Trini Kwan, shine on Yellow in our hearts You still lead us on Trini Kwan, shine on Trini Kwan, shine on For the love you gave We keep singing on (shine on) [Verse 2] Saturday mornings came With your steady smile Every kick, every guard Made the brave ones rise You gave us more than a role You gave us a guide Someone calm in the storm Someone we could trust [Pre-Chorus] And the years keep turning But your glow stays near In the arms of memory You are still right here [Chorus] Trini Kwan, shine on Trini Kwan, shine on Yellow in our hearts You still lead us on Trini Kwan, shine on Trini Kwan, shine on For the love you gave We keep singing on (shine on) [Bridge] Now the screen feels softer When we call your name But your courage still walks here Through every child's game No goodbye can hold you No dark can take your light You were gold in the morning And gold tonight [Final Chorus] Trini Kwan, shine on Trini Kwan, shine on Yellow in our hearts You still lead us on Trini Kwan, shine on Trini Kwan, shine on For the love you gave We keep singing on (shine on)
