When you left, the space grew quieter… Not empty, just honest. Like the silence had been waiting for my name. I kept looking for meaning, until I discovered my own. Every ending leaves a gateway. Every gateway leads towards light. When you left, I found me. Not because you disappeared, but because something no longer needed to stay. When you left, the air grew lighter, like I’d finally remembered how to breathe. I stopped asking what was missing, and started asking who remained. Some reflections quietly faded. Others simply lost their hold. Every ending leaves a gateway. Every gateway leads towards light. When you left, I found me. Not all at once, just enough to recognise the voice beneath the noise. Maybe you were something I’d carried too long. Maybe you were fear. Maybe you were every story that asked me not to begin. Thank you… for leaving. When you left, I found me. Every breath I’d held too long found its way towards my song. Every ending leaves a gateway. Every gateway leads towards light. I thought I’d lost something. Perhaps it was only making room to start from within. For me. A star for my story… I have known all along.
