Three, two, one... A rainbow of balloons to tie you down Before your colours drift into unknowns But the sky calls back its children No two tomorrows are the same When we moonbathed on that hilltop Were your eyes as distant as the stars? Was it truly you and me up there Or was your world out of reach? If Eden has a one-way ticket I'll guide you through the garden gates I'll release your strings Watch your colours paint the clouds So your tears find my skin And warm me up when the sun smiles I may not be a chapter in your story But I'll help you turn the page The plot changes with the seasons We're just characters to fate A rainbow of balloons tied you down Yet your colours drifted into unknowns I find myself back at that red phone booth Like you're just a phone call away Outside, that sunset plays our movie Where daisies brought us together That little patch you grew Near the swan lake As day's fall watches over And dusk waves farewell to you I'll release your strings Watch your colours paint the clouds So your tears find my skin And warm me up when the sun smiles I may not be a chapter in your story But I'll help you turn the page The plot changes with the seasons We're just characters to fate I released your strings Painted clouds Thank you, Everstar, for the beautiful song Rainbow of Balloons... ... Goodnight all...
