I’ve been running on empty, Living faster than my soul, Chasing everything around me While forgetting what I know. Maybe I don’t need more noise. Maybe I need less. A little sunlight on my face, A little prayer, a little rest. Put something living on my table, Something growing from the ground, Fresh herbs hanging by the window, Bare feet walking all around. Stretch these bones beneath the morning, Let my heartbeat find its pace, Trade another hour of scrolling For the sunlight on my face. Back to breathing, Back to being, Back to listening again— Maybe simple isn’t backwards, Maybe simple is where we begin. I’m going back to the garden, Back to the rhythm I knew, Good food, clean water, Morning covered in dew. Move my body, Rest my mind, Leave a little hurry behind. Prayer in the morning, Peace when the day is done— Back to the garden, Back to the sun. There’s some rosemary and ginger, There’s some garlic in the pan, There’s a table full of colors That didn’t come inside a can. There’s a walk beneath the oak trees, There’s a bedtime before two, Funny how the simplest things Can feel completely new. Back to breathing, Back to being, Back to gratitude again— Not chasing some perfection, Just taking better care of what I’ve been given. I’m going back to the garden, Back to the rhythm I knew, Good food, clean water, Morning covered in dew. Move my body, Rest my mind, Leave a little hurry behind. Prayer in the morning, Peace when the day is done— Back to the garden, Back to the sun. Give me roots before rushing, Give me peace before pride, Give me faith when I’m worried, Put Your Word deep inside. Give me laughter at the table, Give me people I can trust, Give me wisdom for this body You formed from the dust. From the dust! From the dust! I don’t worship the creation— I worship the One who made it! Every seed and every sunrise— Points me back to the Creator! Eat real. Move more. Go outside. Close the door. Turn the screen off. Let nighttime start. Drink some water. Guard your heart. Take a deep breath. Let worry go. Plant something. Watch it grow. And when the whole world screams— FASTER! I’ll choose peace. I’M GOING BACK TO THE GARDEN! Back to the rhythm I knew, Good food, clean water, Morning covered in dew. Move my body, Rest my mind, Thank the Lord for borrowed time. Prayer in the morning, Peace when the day is done, Back to the garden, Back to the sun. Back to the garden! Back to the simple! Back to the rhythm! Back to the Giver! Maybe healing isn’t always Adding something new… Sometimes it’s remembering What we forgot to do. Back to the garden. Back to You.
