The Giant Within Part 2 (P4)
# The Giant Within **[Verse 1]** We followed Shidden, the Giant so grand, He spoke of worlds we could conquer by hand. He promised us glory, dominion, and flame, We swore to his vision, we shouted his name. But beneath every victory, something was lost, Every kingdom we claimed carried blood as its cost. We marched in his shadow, believing his lie, Until all we had left was the ash of the sky. **[Chorus]** We followed the Giant, we gave him our hearts, He led us to victory, then tore us apart. We thought we were serving a ruler so strong, But somewhere beneath it, we'd all been wrong. For the Giant we feared, the tyrant we knew, Was waiting inside us, and part of us too. We fought against him, then became what we fought, The Giant was never the one we had thought. **[Verse 2]** I stood there defiant, refusing the call, I swore I would never become him at all. They promised me power, I saw through their schemes, But weariness shattered the strength of my dreams. So I joined them, confused, with nowhere to turn, And watched every piece of my old self burn. They welcomed me in, but I faded away, Until I became what I swore I would slay. **[Pre-Chorus]** I looked in the mirror and saw a stranger's face, A warrior hollowed, stripped of his place. The enemy standing before me was clear, But the face in the mirror was the one I should fear. **[Chorus]** I joined their ranks, I fell to their side, And buried the person I once was inside. I thought I was strong, but I finally knew, The Giant I hated was growing in me too. I fought against him, then became what I fought, The Giant was never the one I had thought. The shadow I chased through the fire and flame Was wearing my face, and answering my name. **[Verse 4]** Through shadowed forests and mountains of stone, The Dark Elf walked, but he never walked alone. A Gem Creature danced at his side with a grin, Turning the darkness to laughter again. One carried wisdom, the other carried light, One watched the future, one lived for tonight. Through every danger, through every despair, The two stood together, refusing to break. The Dark Elf saw truths hidden deep in the lies, While the Gem Creature laughed beneath blackened skies. Together they traveled where few dared to go, A guardian and trickster against every foe. **[Bridge]** But the Gods stayed silent. The ancient ones turned away. The prayers became whispers. The whispers became decay. One final step. One final breath. One blade raised high To bargain with death. And somewhere inside him, beneath all the pain, A voice spoke softly: You don't have to become the chain. **[Final Chorus]** How can I choose? How can I fight? If ending their suffering means ending my life? What will remain when the darkness is gone? A broken soul, or a reason to carry on? Mayhap we chose, mayhap we fell, Mayhap we were never the masters of this spell. We are the forgotten, but not yet erased, Still searching for meaning through time and through space. **[Outro]** So here we stand where the old worlds end, With enemies gone and the broken to mend. The Giant is fallen, the old path is scarred, But the Dark Elf still walks through the night unafraid. The Gem Creature laughs as the shadows draw near, A spark in the darkness, a reason to stay here. Mayhap we were lost. Mayhap we were wrong. But the road still continues. And we walk on.
