V6

[INTRO — SPOKEN] You had kings. You had cities. You had land. You had judges. You had rulers from among your own people. You called this place home. But what happens… when you’re still standing in the land of your fathers… and somebody else is sitting on the throne? [VERSE 1] Used to govern your own cities, used to answer to your own, Had a people, had a nation, had a kingdom, had a throne. Had your elders in the gateway, had your families on the land, Had commandments for the nation, had a law by which to stand. But you’re stiff-necked and backsliding, every warning pushed aside, Every prophet brought correction, still the people turned with pride. Wouldn’t listen when He warned you. Wouldn’t listen when He called. Now the sound beyond the border says an army’s coming strong. See the movement on the hillside. See the dust rise in the air. Hear the watchmen from the towers telling everybody, “Prepare.” But the problem isn’t weapons. It ain’t numbers. Understand. When the Most High removes protection, who can guarantee the land? Now the gates are under pressure. Now the soldiers hit the wall. Yesterday you ruled the kingdom. Today you’re watching kingdoms fall. [CHORUS] We always trust in the Most High, Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights, We always trust in the Most High. We always trust in the Most High, When everything around us says we won’t rise. We remember the covenant, get our hearts right. We always trust in the Most High. [VERSE 2] Now the battle isn’t coming. The battle already came. Foreign rulers in your cities. Different power. Different name. Your king don’t hold the authority. Your leaders don’t command. Somebody else collects the tribute. Somebody else controls the land. Think about it. Yesterday your fathers walked these roads as men who’re free. Now you’re asking foreign rulers what you’re even allowed to be. Still the same hills. Same valleys. Same sunrise overhead. Same land where your fathers lived, same ground beneath your bed. You didn’t cross an ocean. You didn’t move somewhere unknown. The ruler changed around you… while you were standing in your home. That’s the weight of being conquered. That’s the thing we need to see. You can live where you were born… and still no longer be free. Born inside your father’s country, but another holds command. A homeborn servant in your house. A stranger ruling in your land. [BRIDGE — SPOKEN] How do you become a servant in your own home? Think about that. You were born there. Your father was born there. Your grandfather was buried there. Your people built communities there. But you don’t make the rules anymore. You don’t choose the ruler. You don’t control the army. You don’t control the taxes. You don’t control the land the way your fathers once did. You never left home. Home… was conquered around you. [VERSE 3] That’s a fall from being rulers down to serving other men. That’s a story nations witnessed more than once and time again. Kings become the conquered people. Power changes who commands. People born upon their homeland serve the rulers of the land. And for Judah that’s the warning: don’t forget how this began. Not because the people never had instruction or a plan. Stiff-necked when correction found them. Backsliding when prophets spoke. Covenant became tradition while obedience slowly broke. Wanted blessings without listening. Wanted harvest without rain. Wanted protection from the Most High while rejecting what He gave. Then the enemies surrounded. Then the sovereignty was gone. People who once ruled their country woke beneath another throne. Now you’re working in your homeland, but the fruit ain’t yours to keep. Building wealth for foreign rulers, while your household feels defeat. Homeborn… but you’re serving. Born free… but now controlled. Same homeland. Different master. That’s a heavy story told. And before we point at everyone, before we only blame the sword, Remember what the story taught us: Israel first abandoned the Lord. The conquest was the consequence. The warning came before the chains. That’s why knowing where you started helps you understand the pain. [FINAL CHORUS] WE ALWAYS TRUST IN THE MOST HIGH. Even when the road gets hard, we keep our heads high. Through the tears, through the years, through the long nights… We always trust in the Most High. WE ALWAYS TRUST IN THE MOST HIGH. When everything around us says we won’t rise… We remember the covenant. Get our hearts right. We always trust… We alway
