That's What I Hate About The Rain (Best rock type version)
I woke up to a storm today the rain was pelting down upon my awnings, that pitter patter drumming as it hit the metal, in the morning. I stumbled out of bed to look and lightning flashed and lit up all around. The thunder boomed, the lightning zapped but of the morning birds there was no sound. The yard looks like a quagmire, there are puddles on the ground, and mini lakes in some parts where the dogs would love to bound. And you know that they'd get muddy and leave paw prints across the floor, I'd be forever mopping because as I cleaned, they'd carry on leaving more. That's what I hate about the rain. Mopping, mopping, mopping and mopping again. I'm thankful for the watering it gives the trees and plants, I'm thankful for it making the streams and rivers dance with rushing torrents and swirling foam, as Nature's glory shows, but The yard looks like a quagmire, there are puddles on the ground, and mini lakes in some parts where the dogs would love to bound.
