A maiden sleeps in the tower high A curse spun beneath the moonlit sky A spindle’s touch sealed her fate Her dreams now linger at the gate A dragon guards with fiery breath A shadowed knight must face near death The winds whisper of ancient lore As he rides to unlock her door Oh slumbering rose beneath the spell A silent tale no tongue can tell Through thorny vines and shadows deep Awaken now from timeless sleep The lute hums low the harp does sigh Echoes of the past drift by A sword gleams bright in morning’s glow Against the beast the knight does go The clash of steel the dragon’s roar The knight fights on forevermore For love’s embrace for beauty’s grace He risks it all in this cursed place Oh slumbering rose beneath the spell A silent tale no tongue can tell Through thorny vines and shadows deep Awaken now from timeless sleep
