This song returns to the internal, but with the weary understanding gained from 'Cut Deep.' Here, I explore the profound exhaustion of a life lived as a performance for the "Gazer's" eye. The Geisha became the perfect metaphor for this beautiful, hollow grace. The Trip-Hop and Asian-fused soundscape is meant to be mesmerizing yet melancholic, a gilded cage of sound. This is the story of that performance ending—of the soul, long captive to the gaze of others, finally refusing the stage and quietly growing its wings.
