[Verse] The stockings hung The fire’s aglow Santa’s list got longer Oh no Last year was chaos Toys on the floor Screaming and yelling We can’t take no more [Prechorus] Candy canes melted on the dog’s tail Pine needles scattered like a Hansel-Gretel trail [Chorus] No more kids this Christmas We’re locking up the list The elves can take a holiday And Rudolph won’t be missed No more kids this Christmas Just peace and quiet bliss Let’s toast to silent nights My love No shrieking over gifts [Verse 2] Last year we danced to a jingle bell tune Till the toddlers found the punch bowl at noon Grandma’s wig took a dip in the gravy We laughed and cried But honey Just maybe [Prechorus] We’ll trade the tantrums for mistletoe And cuddle by the fire while the frost winds blow [Chorus] No more kids this Christmas We’re locking up the list The elves can take a holiday And Rudolph won’t be missed No more kids this Christmas Just peace and quiet bliss Let’s toast to silent nights My love No shrieking over gifts
