1 Corinthians
Verse 1 We were divided, chasing after names, Building our kingdoms, playing our games, But Christ alone is the Cornerstone, The crucified King who calls us His own. We are God's temple, purchased by grace, A holy people in a broken place, So lay down your pride, let the Savior reign, His power shines brightest through weakness and pain. Pre-Chorus Not by wisdom, not by might, But by the Spirit and the Light. Chorus For the glory of God, we live and breathe, In all that we do, in all we believe. One body, one Savior, one risen Son, Our race is not finished till the victory's won. For the glory of God, let our praises rise, Through the darkest valleys and the brightest skies. Faith, hope, and love forever stand, Held by the scars in the Savior's hands. Verse 2 Freedom is given, but love is the guide, Laying our rights and our selfishness aside. Building each other, bearing the load, Walking together on the narrow road. Around the Lord's table we gather as one, Remembering all that the Savior has done. Every gift He gives is meant to restore, To strengthen His church and exalt Him more. Pre-Chorus Not for ourselves, not for our fame, But for the honor of Jesus' name. Bridge Love is patient, love is kind, Love endures through space and time. Prophecies fade, and tongues grow still, But perfect love is reigning still. Christ is risen, death is undone, The grave has lost, the battle is won! "O death, where is your victory now?" Every knee and tongue will bow! Final Chorus For the glory of God, we lift our song, The weak made strong where they belong. The trumpet will sound and the saints will rise, Transformed in glory before our eyes. For the glory of God, forever we'll sing, To Jesus Christ, our Prophet, Priest, and King. Faith, hope, and love forever stand, Held by the scars in the Savior's hands. Outro So whether we eat, whether we drink, In every word, in every deed, To Christ alone be all the praise, For the glory of God through endless days.
