[Spoken word] There is balance in everything, because balance is the catalyst for stability. The inevitability of light ceding to the impending darkness is representative of the transformative paradox of reality. Light never ceases to exist, nor is it overpowered by darkness. The relationship between the two is one of mutual respect, in the knowledge that they are both eternally reciprocal and neither exists without the other. Meaning simply, there is a time to let go; which is precisely what the old man does, allowing the last remnants of strength leave his body. Closing the eyes of his flesh a final time, and opening the eyes of his spirit newly reborn, the old man releases his daughter's hand and embraces his fate with the veneration deserving of its patience. Not everyone is granted the rarity of closure.
