It's not that life is short or long, it's that it's not for ever. And if we all must die some day the least we can do is try not to go out in a stupid way. It's not that life is short or long, it's that it's not for ever. Update June 25, 2025: It took many years but I am convinced now that in April of 2012 I was hit on the back of the head, knocked out, and put on the floor by someone was just barely went through the door as I was waking up. I called someone (who was studying psychology) who had a friend studying nursing multiple times that night because I thought I was going to die. They were upset I called so many times and couldn't really help me when they showed up. I went to the Health Center at Ithaca College on Monday and my doctor said if I had come in earlier I could have gotten stitches and I had a mild concussion. That was it. No was seemed suspicious of the wound on the back of my head or the way the blood on the floor didn't really line up or - just realized this today - or that I didn't have bruises all over my back. I think I was attacked. Then on April 30, 2025 Something fell off a shelf and hit my head My head was bleeding. It still feels weird sometimes - but it didn't knock me out. Whatever this was, it had to have been even harder to knock me out. It's not that life is short or long, it's that it's not for ever. And if we all must die some day the least we can do is try not to go out in a stupid way. It's not that life is short or long, it's that it's not for ever.
