kind soul/weight of the world

[Intro] [acoustic guitar strumming] (Mmm) [Verse 1] [acoustic guitar continues] You came in bowed down With a battle in your mind Trying to carry all the weight alone Like it belonged to you But now it's time to leave it behind [Verse 2] You laugh and say I'm fine But your eyes tell the truth You've been trying so hard But you can't win this fight on your own [Chorus] [drums and bass enter] Oh you don't have to prove anything Oh you are allowed to leave everything Leave all your sorrow behind [electric guitar lead with delay] [Verse 3] [full band] You came in bowed down With the dust on your dreams Carrying the weight of the world Like it belonged to you Set all your worries down slow By the edge of the night [Chorus] [vocal harmonies enter] You don't have to believe What the hurt can do Just believe in the Son Let Him hold you forevermore [Bridge] One small step Then another one too Easy now, slow and steady Every step with JESUS He will carry you through Kind soul [vocal harmonies] Leave the weight of the world behind Kind soul Leave it by the door tonight Kind soul You don't have to carry it anymore Believe it, leave it, leave it behind [Verse 4] I saw your eyes light up When you heard the truth When you reached for the light All those heavy thoughts fell quiet [Outro] You don't have to prove What the hurt can do Just breathe in and out, YAHWEH Let your Maker hold you one small step in trust In faith and another one too Kind soul, leave it, leave it behind JESUS is where you can rest tonight No more, leave behind the illusion That you could do it all on your own Kind soul, leave the weight of the world behind Kind soul, leave it by the door tonight Kind soul, you don't have to drag it with you any longer Leave it, let go, let GOD [drums and electric guitar fade to acoustic guitar and piano]
