A Reflection Between the Two Songs ( A Glimpse of His Glory...)
A Reflection Between the Two Songs I want to pause for a moment between these two songs, because although they belong to the same journey, they came from two different places within me. “Beyond the Void” came from my studies, my meditation, and my growing awareness of the presence of God in a tangible way. It came from reaching the edge of my own thinking—pushing my understanding as far as I could, asking what lies beyond everything I could comprehend, and finding myself standing at what I called the void. It was a deeply personal part of my journey. I was not searching for some new idea about God. I was trying to understand who God is—and what happens when our thoughts can go no further, yet the desire to know more of Him remains a constant true north in my life. Since that time back in 2025, I have continued to meditate upon His Word and reflect upon my own experience. And through that journey, I have become increasingly aware of the One I have been seeking—Jesus Christ—through my studies and meditations upon the perfection of the Holy, Glorious Triune God. And that is where the next song, “KAVOD — The Weight of His Glory,” comes from. It was born out of that growing awareness—the realisation that God's holiness and glory were not simply subjects I could think about, or truths I could describe. I am becoming more aware of His presence in a much deeper and more personal way, through the Word and in the Spirit of Christ. So these two songs do belong together, but they mark different moments within my journey with God. I wrote them out of worship because this was not simply something I had been thinking about. No—it has become so much more. It is something I am experiencing more and more in my daily life. And somewhere between reaching the limit of my limited understanding and becoming increasingly aware of His holiness and His Kavod—His glory—my meditations and studies have begun to turn into worship. The more I have sought to understand Him, the more I have discovered that understanding alone is not the destination. It leads me to worship. May this testimony of God lead you into a deeper awareness of the perfections and holiness of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—the holiness of the Triune God—and into a deeper understanding of His Kavod and Shekinah glory. Thank you for listening to my journey. May God bless you. Love in Jesus Christ, Gazz. Kavod — The Weight of His Glory
