Woke up this morning, phone already glowin’ Notifications stackin’ like a bad debt growin’ Some stranger from nowhere with a name full of numbers Typin’ pure poison while his real life just slumbers He’s jealous of the sunshine I still manage to find Too lazy to stand up, so he stays in his mind Throws rocks from the shadows, then vanishes quick Leaves me starin’ at the screen feelin’ low and thick Social media’s a heavy load It’ll break your back and steal your soul Trolls don’t get outta bed, they just hate from the dark Jealous little cowards with a keyboard for a heart You carry that weight every night and every day Social media’s a heavy load… and it don’t go away I’ve seen good folks fold under the weight of a post Words cut deeper than a knife when you’re already close They laugh while you’re bleedin’, then hit that refresh Like your pain is their coffee, your struggle their best Some of ’em ain’t even real, just bots dressed in spite Others are people who gave up on life They can’t stand to see you still tryin’ to climb So they drag you back down one mean comment at a time Social media’s a heavy load It’ll break your back and steal your soul Trolls don’t get outta bed, they just hate from the dark Jealous little cowards with a keyboard for a heart You carry that weight every night and every day Social media’s a heavy load… and it don’t go away I’ve thought about quittin’, throwin’ the whole thing away But the silence gets louder when you walk out that gate So I stay in the storm, keep my head half held high Wonderin’ how long a man can keep swallowin’ the sky Social media’s a heavy load It’ll break your back and steal your soul Trolls don’t get outta bed, they just hate from the dark Jealous little cowards with a keyboard for a heart You carry that weight… You carry that weight… You carry that weight… © 2026 Zax Dezignz Distributed by United Masters All Rights Reserved.
