[Verse 1] From Leicester streets to the stars above, A young man dreamed of a life he'd love. He found his calling, he found his way, With a gift that still brings smiles today. Not always seen, but always heard, He brought us magic with every word. Behind the scenes, he played his part, And gave his characters a beating heart. [Chorus] The voice lives on, though the man is gone, In the stories we loved, in the songs we sing on. Through time and space, through laughter and tears, His voice will echo across the years. Some stars fade when the curtain falls, But some live forever in the hearts of us all. The voice lives on, the voice lives on, And the love he gave is never gone. [Verse 2] A little metal dog with a brilliant mind, A faithful friend through space and time. Beside the Doctor, through worlds unknown, K9 made every adventure his own. With a cheerful "Affirmative!" ready to say, He helped the heroes to save the day. And somewhere out among the stars, That loyal voice is forever ours. [Verse 3] And over the rainbow, another old friend, Bungle the bear made us laugh again. A childhood companion, gentle and true, Bringing a little more joy to the world we knew. From children's laughter to science fiction skies, He gave us wonder in countless lives. A thousand memories, a million smiles, His voice traveled more than a million miles. [Bridge] You don't need a face to be remembered, You don't need a stage to shine. Sometimes all it takes is a voice, To leave your mark on time. And when the final credits roll, When the studio lights grow dim, The characters he brought to life Will keep reminding us of him. [Final Chorus] The voice lives on, though the man is gone, In the stories we loved, in the songs we sing on. Through time and space, through laughter and tears, His voice will echo across the years. Some stars fade when the curtain falls, But some live forever in the hearts of us all. The voice lives on, the voice lives on, And the love he gave is never gone. [Outro – Softly] So here's to the man behind the sound, Whose gift still echoes all around. One final journey, one last dawn, But the voice of John Leeson lives on. Affirmative, John… your legacy lives on.
