Battery Full
it's eight in the morning, (eight in the morning) i feel it in my bones, all, heavy, like, stones, I, gotta be alone, can't deal with your energy, need to wait for my brain to catch up with me, and, Slow day, withering away, like a hyper-charged battery, with a hyper-charged delay, thrown away in the fray, it's okay, it's okay, I won't listen, to a word you say, and- Don't worry! Battery's full! Ready to socialize, To look in your eyes, all nice! Time to exchange our smiles, (before my battery dies) got it oh no it's dead back to square one, dead n gone, ready to return to the shade, I'll run all alone, my friend, some patience, drop pretense, will turn out fine (in the end), I say, roller-coaster ride, not ready for the wide-eyed smile, need to sit and charge myself up for a while, recline, and whine, i hope the sunshine will still be up by the time I'm back online and, not always so easy on a nine to five, when at five, you wanna dive headfirst back to sleep, feel cursed, just to keep, y'all satisfied... Don't worry! Battery's full! Ready to socialize, all energized! To look in your eyes, all nice! Time to exchange smiles, (before my battery dies) got it oh no it's dead Breathing's slow, back on low, Got my music on high, and apathy in tow, So-so, sorry, for the mess I am, (but tryin') to compromise as best i can, be a better man, and, (not dyin') Footsteps, dark eyes, bright skies, still time, to greet a bit of sunshine, before it's all tapped, tapped, gone out, worn out, beep, beep, out of order, just drained, from every corner, I hope you can feel me, I, hope you can trust me, I, will be back, on track, just let me have my panic attack... Don't worry! Battery's full! Ready to socialize, all energized! To look in your eyes, all nice! Time to exchange smiles, (before my battery dies) got it oh no it's dead
