A Father’s Blessing

[Verse 1] You were little once A little while ago Way back then The days seemed so slow [Verse 2] But now time has passed And the past seems far And where I am Is not where you are [Chorus] I bless you, my children May you walk in His love May you lead with His wisdom With strength from above May you shine bright for Jesus And stay in His Word Staying ever so faithful To the Truth you have heard [Verse 3] The years go by Like slipping sand But I remember when You would hold my hand [Verse 4] Now I hold you tight In loving prayer Carry you to Christ For you’re in His care [Chorus] I bless you, my children May you walk in His love May you lead with His wisdom With strength from above May you shine bright for Jesus And stay in His Word Staying ever so faithful To the Truth you have heard [Chorus] I bless you, my children May you walk in His love May you lead with His wisdom With strength from above May you shine bright for Jesus And stay in His Word Staying ever so faithful To the Truth you have heard [Verse 5] I bless you, my children I bless you today And lift you to Heaven To the Lord as I pray
