The time for spooky fun had just begun! When my prize creature from his electrified pen Let out a howl to say "Let's begin!" It's the Spooky Zoo! The best night of the year! The ghouls are gathering 'round! For this one night in town! The zombies shuffled forward in a brand new line They said "This Spooky Zoo is lookin' mighty fine!" The Creature from the Black Lagoon began to splash and dive He loved the Zoo and man he felt alive! The whole crypt was shakin' the tombs began to sway When the Mummy joined the fun and threw his wraps away! It's the Spooky Zoo! The best night of the year! The ghouls are gathering 'round! For this one night in town! The Gargoyles on the rooftop began to howl and croon While the phantom on the organ played a spooky tune! Then from a dusty coffin old Drac began to speak He looked a little cranky and his patience wearing weak... [Dracula] "This 'Spooky Zoo' is groovy... but if I may critique? Where is the 'Castle-Hop Igor pulled a lever gave his neck a screw And said [Igor] "Master now they only do the Zoo!" It's the Spooky Zoo! The best night of the year! The ghouls are gathering 'round! For this one night in town! The Wolf Man was in his cage He gave a mighty howl He joined the Spooky Zoo and he was on the prowl! The ghouls were all united A happy monster pack They knew they'd have to wait a year 'til they could all come back! The party's almost through! 'Til next year, then, adieu! Heh heh heh...
