Green Eyed Jealousy

Beneath this bridge, I stand alone, guarding every soul, Once their guide, now envy burns, it’s taken its toll. Their laughter cuts, their joy’s a knife, While I remain, trapped in strife. Green-eyed monster, whispers in my mind, Envy takes hold, I’m left behind. Their smiles burn deep, their freedom’s a lie, I can't take it, no, no matter how I try. Jealousy’s a fire, burning bright, Consumes my heart, clouds my sight. I see them dance, laughing free, And the green-eyed flame consumes me. I was their guardian, but now I fall, Jealousy reigns, I lose it all. Every step they take fuels my pain, I try to warn, but it's all in vain.
