[Verse 1] We met through a door somebody opened wide A borrowed trust standing by our side Just another call Just another name Neither one of us knew we’d never be the same [Pre-Chorus] And all at once The weight was shared Two shaking hands Found something there [Chorus] Every river starts somewhere Every road begins unknown Sometimes God sends strangers To help us carry stones Every river starts somewhere Every road begins unknown Sometimes God sends strangers To help us carry stones [Verse 2] You brought a light through a room I’d sealed I brought the hurt I still couldn’t heal You said stay here I said I might And that small yes turned into life [Pre-Chorus] We didn’t know What grace could do Until the door Opened for two [Chorus] Every river starts somewhere Every road begins unknown Sometimes God sends strangers To help us carry stones Every river starts somewhere Every road begins unknown Sometimes God sends strangers To help us carry stones [Bridge] So if you’re standing With empty hands Don’t count the miles Don’t blame the plan One open door One faithful face Can turn a wound Into a place [Final Chorus] Every river starts somewhere Every road begins unknown Sometimes God sends strangers To help us carry stones Every river starts somewhere Every road begins unknown Sometimes God sends strangers To help us carry stones Sometimes God sends strangers To bring you home
