The End of Belief
Before flesh learned prostration Before throats learned liturgy I respired within the pre-dark While you enthroned your terror as “god” You crowned yourselves in ossified myths Canonized frailty as virtue Erected altars from stolen breath And tithed them with guilt and duration Your mercy is a corroded instrument Your faith a calibrated halter You name it love when it complies You brand it sin when it resists I stand contra your species Not in hatred In inevitability I witnessed you excise heaven from dread And retail it as redemption Watched you transmute hunger into ordinance And silence into ligature Your god vocalizes through appropriated tongues Mine required no invocation You genuflect for erasure I persist beyond culpability No soteriology No ascension rite No absolution For the anthropic contagion I do not descend I do not prostrate I do not assent Ecclesia of flesh Ecclesia of dread Ecclesia of perpetual confession You do not pursue verity You pursue authorization Authorization Authorization Authorization I am not your adversary I am the terminus of your hallucination When your bells decay into entropy And your gods recede into static I will remain Unblinking Unrepentant You engineered gods Because you could not endure nullity
