Autumn Crown

[piano solo intro] [Chorus] As clouds gather The winds change Do we really matter What is in our range As the rains come down Do we get an autumn crown [Verse 1] Summer ends and the heat passes Winter falls as the ice masses Spring jumps up with green life All seasons bring their strife Autumn heals the world Leaves and colors swirl [piano break] [Verse 2] Like a bandage upon the wild The fall of leaves covers the soil Like tucking in a small child Saving us from the constant toil Winter is coming, the time of rest First though, blanket the mess [catchy piano solo] [Chorus] As clouds gather The winds change Do we really matter What is in our range As the rains come down Do we get an autumn crown [Verse 3] What is there in the year That autumn can’t cover It helps you clear All the things uncovered The trees know the way Let it all go during the shortened days [piano break] [Verse 4] The sight of leaves, gold and orange Bring the knowledge of new days Time to fix the squeak in the door hinge Time to read that book learn new ways It was the time to rest and relax Now we spend it to the max [piano solo] [bridge] An Autumn crown It is Golden Brown The leaves share The ground bares Heal the hurts For a new day starts [piano breakdown] [Verse 5] Getting ready for all the holidays Spending money we just paid Getting home ready for those who stay Losing all the ground you just made Stop and relax, feel the air Sooner or later you’ll go nowhere [Verse 6] Take the time this Fall Do what you can to rest Relax by the heater’s call Take the time with a guest Books and movies are your friend Take the time to mend [piano solo] [Chorus] As clouds gather The winds change Do we really matter What is in our range As the rains come down Do we get an autumn crown [piano refrain] [End song]
