We are Saltcloaks, wild and free (Cover 4)
Heave through fog and roiling tide, Where White Gate Ruins crack and hide. Potions warm our veins like fire, Beasts fall swift to our desire. Storms may howl and shadows creep, Through cursed halls our secrets keep. Coins and trinkets, loot and fame, None shall match the Saltcloak name. Oceans tremble ‘neath our oars, Dungeon depths conceal their doors. Goblin camps and ghostly spires, Fuel our lust for feats and mires. Hearts of iron, hands of steel, Every treasure, every keel. Through wave and wind, through blood and bone, Shiddonia bows to none but our own. On Shiddonia’s cliffs where the white gulls scream, Through guild halls bright and towers that gleam, White Gate ruins echo a hero’s dream, And the waves roar with our daring! I slew the Leviathan off Shiddonia’s bay, Tore its tentacles, let no crew sway! The waves crashed high, the sailors screamed, But I drank my potion and chased my dream! Through shark and serpent, whale and kraken, Every foe a step for rank to quicken! I boarded galleons in the midnight storm, Took their cargo, kept my form! We fought the Sirens by Lantern Rock, Their songs could crack a Saltcloak’s lock, But I swigged a draught and raised my hook, And left the cursed reef in a smoky crook! Beneath the Guild’s proud spire we train, Through white gates broken, past haunted plain, From docks to towers, through sun and rain, Every corner tests our daring! The markets bustle with trinkets and trade, Elves and dwarves in the sun and shade, Yet only the brave and cunning made Their way to rank and glory! We’ve crossed the isles where Fae weave lies, Past reefs that scratch and storm-tossed skies, From frozen fjords to tropical dyes, Each voyage earns our guildly prize! We trade in potions, steel, and lore, From dwarves to elves to Orcish shore, Every trip a chance to climb some more, And our ranks ascend with the rising tide! I led a caravan through the Misted Shoal, Dodging pirates and a rogue wind’s toll, Bartered potions for gems and spice, And learned a captain’s cunning device! The Tower looms, a shadowed spire, Its halls whisper of lost empire, Monsters dwell where the brave conspire, And treasure waits for the daring! Ghosts of knights wander the stone-clad halls, Echoes of battle in moonlit walls, Saltcloaks venture, despite the calls, To claim the relics before darkness falls. From lowly Saltcloak to quartermaster bold, From cabin boy to legend told, Each fight, each quest, each peril faced, Is a step upward, never erased! I slew the sea-dragon in the Abyssal Trench, Survived the whirlpools that spin and clench, Rescued merchants from a marauder’s den, And earned my stripes once more again! We stormed the Ruins of White Gate Tower, Through shifting shadows, through monsters’ power, Potions in hand, hearts beating fast, The Saltcloaks rise to ranks that last! We are Saltcloaks, wild and free, Rising in rank upon Shiddonia’s sea! Through monsters, storms, and dungeons won, We fight, we drink, till the setting sun! Potions in hand, our spirits alight, Through Kraken’s lair and dungeon fright, Saltcloaks climb bold, through peril and night, And Shiddonia cheers our might! We carried relics to the Adventurer’s Hall, Answered the summons from the guild’s call, Scouted portal rifts where the shadows fall, And returned with treasures all! Through fog and lightning we mapped the coasts, Guided caravans, chased spectral hosts, Every mission, every post, Earned our rank and bragging boasts! Dawn paints the spires in gold and red, Saltcloaks sleep where the brave have bled, Potions beside them in rumpled bed, Dreaming of treasures ahead. The harbor hums with sails and song, The adventurers laugh and the merchants throng, Yet only the daring last long, And the Guild counts their names in the ledger strong. From cabin boy to fleet commander, From timid hand to daring slander, Every foe and every treasure Pushes Saltcloaks to greater measure! We fought the Leviathans near Broken Reef, We raided towers beyond belief, Bartered with dwarves and trolls alike, And earned our place in Saltcloak might! We are Saltcloaks, wild and free, Rising in rank upon Shiddonia’s sea! Through monsters, storms, and dungeons won, We fight, we drink, till the setting sun! Potions in hand, our hearts ignite, Through Kraken’s lair and dungeon fright, Saltcloaks strike bold, through peril and night, And Shiddonia cheers our might! “Who rules the waves of Shiddonia?” “Saltcloaks, brave and cunning!” “Who drinks the potions, fights the beasts?” Response: “We sail, we strike, we feast!” “Who climbs the ranks and hauls the gold?” Response: “The Saltcloaks, daring and bold!” “Who rules the waves of Shiddonia?” “Saltcloaks, brave and cunning!” “Who drinks the potions, fights the beasts?” Response: “We sail, we strike, we feast!” “Who climbs the ranks and hauls the gold?” Response: “The Saltcloaks, daring and bold!”
