Wings like stained glass. Eyes like compound receivers. One delicate limb always raised — always listening, always a little ahead of whatever was being transmitted. Nomad's ears pricked at the first signal ring. Then the second. By the third, Nomad was simply staring outward with the focused intensity of someone who knows they are receiving something important and is choosing not to explain it. The broadcast went out anyway. Rogue. Unlicensed. Beautifully, perfectly unregistered. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ — Intercepted on an unlicensed frequency. Signal origin: The Carpet, broadcasting without authorisation.
