[Verse] Oh the sun was high and the stew was hot We thought the troubles were forgot But a shadow loomed near the old pine knot And it wasn’t a friendly hare [Prechorus] No sir no It wasn’t a hare It wasn’t a fox or a wild mare [Chorus] There’s a bear in the campground A bear a bear a bear He’s got big teeth and a wild-eyed stare There’s a bear in the campground A bear a bear a bear Grab your boots and run if you dare [Verse 2] We left the biscuits out last night Now he’s chomping down with all his might The stew pot’s gone What a fright We’re left with empty air [Prechorus] Oh no no He’s licking the pot Our dinner’s gone Every last lot [Chorus] There’s a bear in the campground A bear a bear a bear He’s got big teeth and a wild-eyed stare There’s a bear in the campground A bear a bear a bear Grab your boots and run if you dare
