When I wake up in the morning And it’s time for me to rise I am grateful for the blessing To simply be alive I thank the lord I’m breathing And for all the days I’ve seen Some friends have never got here So blessed for all I’ve been I do not know the reason For all my time on earth But grateful for the lessons I know what they are worth Grateful for each moment Can’t you see the light Each day is such a blessing A chance to make things right.
