The suffocating agony of ancient sins overpowers her, causing the sacred relic to shatter into dust and leaving her broken in the snow. Dragging her body over Finn to protect the child from the lingering horrors, Valeska forces her to flee and takes full accountability for bringing her into this nightmare. Alone in the blizzard, Valeska reaches into the slush for Gideon’s massive broadsword, lifting the blade with her remaining strength to face the dark wave with a grim, fearless grin: "Come then... I am waiting." -------------Lyrics-------------- [Intro: A single, fast, haunting and intricate acoustic guitar picking melody entwined with a weeping, dark cello, building up] [Verse 1: Fast, focused delivery over driving rhythm. The acoustic melody and dark cello continue over crushing Doom power chords] Steel meets shadow on the chapel floor! Gideon and I, holding the line once more! Elite of the Church, every strike a lethal line, Cleaving through specters with fury divine! A shadow strikes my wrist—my sword is torn away, Lost in the blizzard, swallowed by the gray! I raise my bleeding palm into the freezing air, And conjure a lance of blinding light and glare! I pierce the horde, but Gideon falls beneath the swarm, Crushed by the tide, broken in the storm! There is only one desperate measure left to turn the dying tide— I reach for the Silent Bell... with nowhere left to hide! [Chorus 1: intricate acoustic guitar and mourning dark cello become dominant. Soaring, melancholic, raw heavy vocals] And if the silver turns to ash beneath this frozen sky, I’ll hold the storm within my chest and watch the dark tide die! No holy light, no final vow—just flesh to bear the pain... Take every sin, take every tear, but let the child remain! [Music shifts: Fast battle drums and acoustic guitar stop abruptly. Only a heavy, dragging, slow Doom bassline, dark cello drone, and dissonant guitar feedback] (Spoken, heavy hyperventilating close to mic) I raise the silver bell... I strike the iron shell... (Heavy sub-bass drop) Ten thousand broken souls surge from the gates of hell! [Female Vocals: Strained, struggling for breath, rising panic] It floods my lungs, it burns my flesh, Tearing the wounds of ancient sins afresh! A tsunami of agony, memories not my own— I fight to hold the current, to stand upon the stone! I force my faith into the metal, I lock my bleeding grip, Trying to anchor the tide before the silver splits! (Whispered frantically) "Breathe... control the dark... absorb... restrain..." But the ocean is too vast, a nightmare of pure pain! My ribs begin to crack, my spirit starts to rend, Under the crushing weight... I cannot bend! I feel the silver bulge, white-hot against the frost, Every vow I ever swore... crumbling, burning, lost! I try to hold the pieces... I try to force them back... As pure horror grips my soul at every splintering crack! [screams in rising, unadulterated agony over screeching guitar feedback] "KELEMVOR! GIVE ME STRENGTH TO BEAR THIS TRIAL!" [whispering, hopeless] "But my lord ignores my lonely wish" THE BELL SHATTERS! THE SILENCE DIES! [Verse 2: Slow, heavy Doom tempo. Only broken, fragile acoustic guitar picking and a solitary low cello note echo in the emptiness] [Vocals: clean, Broken, trembling, gasping, traumatized] Time freezes still in the blinding white, The world dissolves into a soup of night. A murky tide of feelings... despair, loss, and dread, Floating in numbness, paralyzed among the dead... Is this the end...? Is everything gone...? (A sharp, panicked child scream cuts through the silence) "VALESKA!" [Raw, emotional vocals] Finn’s voice slices through the suffocating haze! I snap back to reality... I see her terrified gaze! I throw my broken body right before her face— Protecting the child in this cursed, dying place! What have I done to her...? What horror have I wrought...? I scream into her eyes with every breath I've got: "FINN! RUN! AND DON'T LOOK BACK!" [Whispering voice] ".......live" [Chorus 2: Dissonant acoustic, weeping cello, and heavy Doom guitars clash. Broken, sobbing, raw emotional outburst] Now all the silver turns to dust beneath a bleeding sky, The storm is tearing through my chest, I watch my world collapse and die! No holy light, no sacred vow—just flesh that bleeds in vain... I gave it all, I gave my soul—so let the child remain! [Outro: Riffs drag down into an agonizing, dying Doom crawl. A final weeping cello note and single broken acoustic chord ring out] She's running... she has a chance... No weapon. No holy lance. No silver bell. Just blood upon the frozen floor... [Inner Monologue: Spoken softly, fearless whisper] I reach down into the blood-soaked slush and pick up Gideon’s massive broadsword. I stand tall before the dark tide, a grim, defiant grin spreading across my bloody face. [Final, heavy Doom distortion thrum cuts out abruptly] [End]
