Between Sunrise and Sunset
Between the sunrise and the sunset I walk alone through quiet light Shadows falling slowly over this fragile human life Gods above me paint the heavens drawing circles made of flame But my heart must choose the meaning of the hours in my hands They give the day they give the night But I decide how time alives Between the sunrise and the sunset I stand equal to the gods They create the far horizon I give purpose to the hours Golden light upon my shoulders fades away without a scar Yet it lingers deep inside me every step becomes my path Not the crown nor thrones of heaven make a soul eternally It is choice between the moments that defines what we will be Not the time… but the choice… Between the sunrise and the sunset there is no throne above my voice Gods may grant the light of heaven we give fire, will and choice When the sleeping sun descends I remain awake in day
