[Verse 1] Salt on patchwork leather Rust in every seam We put this wreck together Chasing rumors and a dream Two fools in angry weather Calloused hands on fraying rope Guitars slung like sacred weapons Laughing at the scope of this joke [Chorus] Raise your guitars like torches Or harpoons on high And taunts out of tune If the deep wants blood Come take it We’ll scream back at the moon If this is where we’re going Then this is where we stand Two metal souls One rag tag coffin Daring the dark to kill this band [Verse 2] The Horizon splits into his storm Skies fold into black mass The compass spins like it’s possessed Wind howls through broken glass Then the sea goes dead and silent Every wave holds its breath From the throat of the world it rises Eyes like anchors And Jaws like death [Chorus] Raise your guitars like torches Like harpoons high And taunts out of tune If the deep wants blood Come take it We’ll scream back at the moon If this is where we’re going Then this is where we stand Two metal souls One rag tag coffin Daring the dark to kill this band [Verse 3] Guitar neck in my left Tremolo in my right (hey!) Aiming our notes into his eye We carve our names like laser light Riffs raining down from the sky Tentacles crash through the hull and the mast Splinters fly like screams in a rage We’re swallowed in spray Shouting its name from the floating stage “Kraken, a song to rue this day!” [Chorus] Raise your guitars like torches Like harpoons high and taunts out of tune If the deep wants blood Come take it We’ll scream back at the moon If this is where we’re going Then this is where we stand Two metal souls One rag tag coffin Daring the dark to kill this band [End]
