SC: Creed: God the Son - Article II
"My Lord, My Redeemer" (Verse 1) I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, True God and true man, the eternal One. Conceived by the Spirit, of virgin Mary, He came for my burdens, my sin, and my shame. He suffered for sinners under Pilate’s decree, Was crucified, buried, descended for me. But the grave couldn’t hold Him; He rose up in might, Ascended to heaven, now reigning in light. (Chorus) Oh, my Lord, my Redeemer, You’ve purchased my soul, With Your blood so precious, You’ve made me whole. Not with silver or gold, but by death’s defeat, You’ve won me forever; Your love is complete. (Verse 2) I was lost and condemned, trapped in sin’s domain, Bound by the devil, in death’s dark chain. But my Savior stepped in with a price so high, Gave His innocent life so that I won’t die. Now I’m His forever, His kingdom my place, Clothed in His righteousness, covered by grace. I’ll serve Him in joy, with no fear or strife, For He’s risen, He reigns, and He grants me life. (Chorus) Oh, my Lord, my Redeemer, You’ve purchased my soul, With Your blood so precious, You’ve made me whole. Not with silver or gold, but by death’s defeat, You’ve won me forever; Your love is complete. (Bridge) He’ll come once again as the Judge of all men, To right every wrong, to restore what’s been. But for those He has ransomed, His verdict is sure, Through His sacrifice holy, we stand secure. (Outro) I believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior divine, Through His death and His rising, salvation is mine. He lives and He reigns, His rule is my peace, In His everlasting kingdom, my joy will not cease. (Chorus – Repeat) Oh, my Lord, my Redeemer, You’ve purchased my soul, With Your blood so precious, You’ve made me whole. Not with silver or gold, but by death’s defeat, You’ve won me forever; Your love is complete.
