[Verse] The forest at the edge Of my granddaddy's farm Was always dark And full of black secrets You know Things you don't wanna believe in [Pre-Chorus] And I don't know if it's true or not But they say people used to get shot When they stepped foot In the wrong man's crop [Chorus] And it's all true What you been hearin' about All the things that go on When the lights go out You better be scared And you better be smart You better not let it Take hold of your heart Don't go Don't go Don't go beyond the grove [Verse 2] They say things happen there That can't be explained Wicked and wild things If you know what I mean If you see what I've seen [Pre-Chorus] I won't go out there at night I'd rather not get in a fight With the things out there That come to life [Chorus] And it's all true What you been hearin' about All the things that go on When the lights go out You better be scared And you better be smart You better not let it Take hold of your heart Don't go Don't go Don't go beyond the grove [Bridge] And it's all true What you been hearin' about All the things that go on When the lights go out You better be scared And you better be smart You better not let it take hold of your heart Don't go Don't go Don't go beyond the grove
