THE BEGGAR Pinoks Vibes I saw him standing on a street corner today, holding a piece of cardboard and a paper cup. Cars rolled by. People looked away. Some pretended not to see him. Others judged him before they even knew his name. And I caught myself wondering... Who is this man? What road brought him here? --- Was he ever a father? Did he serve in the military? Did he bury the woman he loved? Did his children stop calling? Did the addiction come after the pain... not before it? Was he once the man who helped everybody else? --- Because nobody dreams of ending up on a sidewalk. Nobody grows up saying, "When I get older, I hope the world forgets me." Life happens. Heartbreak happens. Funerals happen. Loss happens. And sometimes... people break. --- Everybody sees the cardboard sign. Nobody asks about the broken heart holding it. Everybody sees the rough beard. The worn-out shoes. The shaking hands. But nobody sees the battles he already fought just to make it through another day. --- We judge the dirt on his clothes, but never the scars on his soul. We see a beggar on the corner... God still sees a son. --- Maybe he built houses. Maybe he fixed engines. Maybe he worked double shifts to put food on the table. Maybe there was a time when little arms wrapped around his neck and called him Dad. Maybe there was a woman who once couldn't imagine life without him. Maybe there was a family photograph sitting on a mantelpiece somewhere. Gathering dust. Like the memories. --- The world called him a beggar. God called him by his name. --- And here's the truth most of us don't want to hear... One bad year. One bad decision. One tragedy. One bottle. One funeral. One divorce. That's sometimes all that separates him... from me. --- So before you judge, before you laugh, before you look away... remember this: The man on the corner is somebody's child. Somebody's father. Somebody's husband. Somebody's friend. Somebody's forgotten story. --- And maybe the greatest tragedy isn't that he's standing there. Maybe it's that we've become so busy we no longer stop to see the human being behind the cardboard sign. --- We judge the dirt on his clothes, but never the scars on his soul. We see a beggar on the corner... God still sees a son. And maybe... that's exactly how we should see him too. 🎤 Pinoks Vibes
