(Intro) (Instrumental) (Verse) Blessed are the poor in spirit for the heavenly kingdom is theirs, And blessed are those who mourn for they’ll find comfort for all of their cares. Blessed are the meek and the gentle, the world they won’t be denied. And blessed are those who thirst for good, for they shall be satisfied. (Chorus) Merciful people will learn That mercy to them shall return Pure in heart people will see God in all of His great majesty! (Verse) Blessed are those who seek peace, call them the sons of God. And blessed are persecuted souls, for theirs is the kingdom of God. So when you are persecuted because you love the Lord, Rejoice, be glad, in heaven there waits your very great reward.
