Thunder's Herald [NDC-TT]

[Intro] [Instrumental - Solo cello, distant thunder rumbling, building orchestral tension] [Verse 1 - Commander, spoken over orchestra] The field is lost I see it in their eyes Half our men are gone And the storm rolls in No reinforcements coming No retreat permitted This is where we stand This is where we fall [Orchestral Build - Full strings, brass swelling, thunder cracking] [Pre-Chorus - Operatic tenor] Heaven above us — hear our cry! The thunder speaks — but tells us why? We cannot hold — we cannot break! What miracle — for heaven's sake! [Chorus - Dubstep drop hits, bass shaking] Then the lightning struck the field And a warrior appeared Bearing our colours — bearing our shield A stranger — yet one of ours [Instrumental - Extended dubstep/orchestral fusion, war drums and bass cannon] [Verse 2 - Rap, Commander narrating] I've seen soldiers break and I've seen soldiers bleed But nothing like this — nothing I believe He moved through their ranks like the storm itself Like death had given him a second breath No blade could touch him, no arrow could find him He carved through the front line, the enemy blind I turned to my strongest — I gave the command Form a circle around him — make your final stand [Orchestral Surge - Full brass, choir entering] [Pre-Chorus - Operatic soprano] Form the circle — hold the line! The warrior fights — by heaven's design! We are the shield — he is the blade! This is the price — this is the trade! [Chorus - Dubstep drop, heavier than before] And the thunder shook the field As the warrior held the shield Bearing our colours — refusing to yield A stranger — dying for ours [Instrumental - Long orchestral/dubstep passage, battle reaching climax] [Bridge - Choir and rap together] We held the circle Through the storm and through the rain When the thunder finally silenced Only we remained The warrior stood still At the centre of the dead We never learned his name We never saw his face He bore our colours He fought our fight And when the dawn broke He was gone with the night [Final Chorus - Opera and dubstep fully merged, triumphant but heavy] The thunder still rolls over that field Where a stranger broke and would not yield We wear his colours — we carry his shield A miracle — paid for in blood [Outro] [Orchestra alone, fading slowly] The storm passed... The field was ours... But we never spoke of the price... [Distant thunder, silence] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A battlefield on the brink of collapse. A commander who has run out of options. And then — as the thunderstorm rolls in — a warrior appears bearing their colours, unknown to anyone, seemingly untouchable. The commander rallies his strongest to form a protective circle, and together they hold the line. The battle is won. The warrior is gone by dawn. The triumph is real. The cost is never spoken of. Orchestral dubstep meets operatic rap in an epic that asks whether miracles come with a price. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- © 2026 Ande Records Lyrics by Ande All rights reserved. https://ande-records.se/
