[Verse 1] Christmas Eve on the rug Your hand finds mine The tree is glowing gold Across the room, so soft The fire keeps us warm Your smile does too I lean a little closer And drift right into you [Pre-Chorus] Hold me near Let the cold stay out There’s a little magic here No need to talk about [Chorus] Taste of eggnog On your lips Sweet little spark I don’t want to miss Eggnog on your lips Hold me like this Christmas Eve Right here, like this [Verse 2] You lift the little cups I watch you grin The cinnamon and nutmeg Catch on your tongue The tree lights blink as we breathe Like they know our song I kiss you slow and softly And the whole night feels so long [Pre-Chorus] Hold me near Let the world fade away Let Christmas feel this way I never want to leave this moment [Chorus] Taste of eggnog On your lips Sweet little spark I don’t want to miss Eggnog on your lips Hold me like this Christmas Eve Right here, like this [Bridge] The room turns tender The dark turns bright Your breath on mine Feels warm and slow If time can listen Let it stay In this small bright moment Don’t let it slip away [Chorus] Taste of eggnog On your lips Sweet little spark I don’t want to miss Eggnog on your lips Hold me like this Christmas Eve Right here, like this
