The boss needs it stat, no time to chat. They’d really like it yesterday. The more I give, the less I live. All work and no play. Feeding fat cats, done with that. Taking all they can get from me. Feel like a frog stuck in a boiling vat. Gotta keep hold my dignity. Somedays, I need a getaway. They’ve taken all my peace of mind. Seen it all before. Can’t take no more, but I’ll take my time. Living your life’s not a crime. They’ll take what you can’t get back: all of your precious time. Don’t get me wrong, life’s a give and take. But don’t give till you find you break. When pressure mounts, you’re gonna find you gotta take some time. So know your joys. Turn off all the noise. You take the heat. They still give you hell. So very few are looking out for you, so take good care of yourself. It’s been birdcalls and rush of waterfalls Humanity’s natural soundtrack. Just know it’s fine to reclaim your time. It’s not coming back.
