[Verse 1] You open Your hand, and the hungry find bread A coat on a shoulder, a safe place to rest When somebody's burden is more than they bear You put something useful right into our care [Pre-Chorus] Not just words we say when the moment is gone Love takes a step, love carries it on [Chorus] Open our hands, make us ready to give Share what we have, help a neighbor to live Food for the table, warm clothes for the cold Kindness made real is a treasure to hold You satisfy every living thing So let our generosity rise and sing With willing hearts and a faith that is true What pleases God is what love leads us to do [Verse 2] When the storm came hard and the roads disappeared You saw every family, You dried every tear Boxes of supplies at the door by the dawn Brothers and sisters kept carrying on [Pre-Chorus] Across every border, wherever there's need A generous people become hands that feed [Chorus] Open our hands, make us ready to give Share what we have, help a neighbor to live Food for the table, warm clothes for the cold Kindness made real is a treasure to hold You satisfy every living thing So let our generosity rise and sing With willing hearts and a faith that is true What pleases God is what love leads us to do [Bridge] Don't forget to do good, don't hold back the share There is more than enough when we answer the prayer A sacrifice offered with joy from the heart Can mend what was broken and give hope a start [Chorus] Open our hands, make us ready to give Share what we have, help a neighbor to live Food for the table, warm clothes for the cold Kindness made real is a treasure to hold You satisfy every living thing So let our generosity rise and sing With willing hearts and a faith that is true What pleases God is what love leads us to do [Outro] Open our hands, let compassion flow through Jehovah, use us in all that we do For every good gift, for each life You sustain We give with glad hearts, and we give once again
