[Spoken Intro – close to the microphone] “In Nordic folklore, the Vittra are the hidden people, especially known in northern Sweden and in Sámi traditions. They are said to live beneath the earth and deep within the forests. They are neither good nor evil… but they remember who walks with respect. They see us long before we ever see them.” ⸻ Verse 1 There is a path that no one ever drew. It winds between the shadows of the pines. Where the moss is never broken. Where the wind whispers forgotten names. My grandfather once told me, “Walk gently here. Not everything alive can be seen.” Chorus The Vittra see us long before we see them. They live where silence is older than our maps. If you show respect, you’ll find your way home. If you believe the forest belongs to you, you may wander forever without knowing why. Verse 2 I found an old wooden fence in the middle of nowhere. No farmhouse. No people. Only the sound of a distant bell coming closer… then fading away. I left a piece of bread on a stone. Not because I was afraid. Because respect still matters. Bridge Maybe they’re only stories. Maybe stories are simply the way we remember that the forest was never ours. We were only allowed to walk through it. Final Chorus The Vittra never need to appear. It’s enough that the forest still breathes. That the mist lingers a little too long. And somewhere, someone still whispers, “Walk softly. Someone already lives here.” Outro When I turn around, the path is gone. But the forest remembers that I was there.
