Forgive me, for taking so long to forgive you I have always heard it said that Forgiveness is not for the offender but For you But this forgiveness I offer is not for me Or for you, this forgiveness is for him But will help to set us both free. [Chorus] I forgive you Forgive me too Cause he forgave me I forgive you He opened my blinded eyes to see Forgiveness is not just for you But also for me “So let’s forgive unconditionally and let our past become history.“ [Verse] Cause he has forgiven me, I forgive you Not only is it the right thing to do But even though I said it wasn’t for you The more I ponder, the more I see Forgiveness is definitely more about you than me. [Chorus] We are all lost And need the Power of the Cross See Jesus didn’t do it for only me He did it for us all equally He suffered pain unbearable So that even when our Sin was unforgettable And so, so terrible We are still not unforgivable “So let’s forgive unconditionally and let our past become history. “ Instead he loves us, not like the world loves But like only he can He has made us all part of his ultimate plan We get the opportunity to walk in Royalty Not because anything we have done but because the Father instilled in the Son selfless acts of Loyalty. “So let’s forgive unconditionally and let our past become history. “ On the cross, he forgave the lost And saved us from uncertainty By loving us unconditionally Lifting us up here and now But more importantly sharing Heaven with us For Eternity. “So let’s forgive unconditionally and let our past become history.” [Chorus] [Extended Verse - Rap] But for those who have not taken this bow Remember without the Savior None of this you will savor Jesus is the way, the only way No matter what they say Don’t be a too cool fool And blow this off like Skipping school Today is the day, he is making a way Listen to what he has to say The only way to avoid the lake of fire Is follow his Desires Don’t know where to start? Surrender your Heart Be saved and thank the Lord Study his word and follow his plans even when you don’t think you can Forgive your brothers, sisters, even me Forgive like Jesus forgives us unconditionally Seven times Seventy Even when they persecuted him relentlessly [Spoken Verse] He said Forgive them for they know not what they do As he gave his life and prayed for me and you. [Chorus] “So let’s forgive unconditionally and let our past become history. “ [Outro Verse] Cause in the the end we are all Family In Christ we will rise together And live with each other forever and throughout Eternity all because Jesus forgives us all Including you and me.
