From Montevideo to the Red Earth Leaving Montevideo’s misty docks, Julian crossed the rolling hills toward Porto Alegre and the thunderous Iguaçu Falls. From lush jungles, he climbed the Planalto Central, crossing colonial Goiás until the red dust of the highlands coated his guitar case. Finally, the futuristic geometry of Brasilia emerged beneath a burning blue sky. Before the white pillars of the Cathedral, Julian sought a pulse behind the silent marble. Near a grand monument, he found it: three folk musicians playing a rhythmic air that pierced the heat. They welcomed him into the vibrant local sectors, far from the cold government halls. After a night in a modest neighborhood hotel, they stood together on the sidewalk. Their voices blended in a raw, powerful harmony, singing for the crowds to fund the next miles of his long journey through the heart of Brazil. ******************************************* © 2026 ᒍᑌᒪIᗩᑎ KᗩIᑎE. The great cathedral glass reflects the morning blue, A vision of a world that feels so new. I walk where giants dreamed of future days, Lost inside this wide and stone-built maze. Chorus Dust rises from red ground. New brothers have been found. Music is the holy sound. To this earth I bound. Verse 2 The tall towers stand like guards of old, In a story that the modern winds told. Above the green grass where the water flows, The spirit of the builder slowly then grows. I watch the clouds move over silent halls, While peace remains within these marble walls. Chorus Dust rises from red ground. New brothers have been found. Music is the holy sound. To this earth I bound. Verse 3 The square is open under the wide sky, Where the flags of many nations proudly fly. The sleek shapes cut the hot dry air, Beauty lives in every curve found over there. I seek a place where life begins breathe, Above the hidden roots that lie deep beneath. Chorus Dust rises from red ground. New brothers have been found. Music is the holy sound. To this earth I bound. Verse 4 Three men play songs upon the dusty lane, To heal the sting of every hidden pain. They show me alleys where the people dwell, With many colorful stories they wish to tell. We sing together for some silver and bread, Before I rest my tired and heavy head. Chorus Dust rises from red ground. New brothers have been found. Music is the holy sound. To this earth I bound.
