I Am The Mouth

Something's moving underneath. Something's growing in my teeth. (Feed me...) (Feed me...) [Verse 1: intimate whispered male vocal, distorted bass slowly entering] I built a mouth beneath my skin To swallow everything I've been. A little taste, a little lie, Another piece of me to die. The walls are wet. The lights are red. I hear the hunger in my head. [Pre-Chorus: rising industrial percussion, increasing distortion] Take it in. Push it down. Let it rot beneath the ground. Every nerve. Every bone. Nothing here is mine to own. [Chorus: explosive downtuned guitars, enormous drums, shouted vocals] NEVER ENOUGH! I WANT IT ALL! TEAR THE FLESH AND WATCH IT FALL! NEVER ENOUGH! NOTHING REMAINS! I FEED THE THING THAT WEARS MY FACE! [Instrumental: violent industrial guitar riff, distorted kick drums, metallic scraping] [Verse 2: dry, close-mic whispers over broken electronic rhythms] There's something breathing in the floor. It doesn't need a name anymore. I give it blood. I give it light. It grows another mouth tonight. A thousand tongues against the glass. A thousand lives that couldn't last. [Pre-Chorus: dissonant synth rising, drums dropping away] Open wide. Let it through. Everything becomes a wound. Cut the wire. Kill the light. Let the hunger come alive. [Chorus: harsh distorted shouting, crushing metallic guitars] NEVER ENOUGH! I WANT IT ALL! TEAR THE FLESH AND WATCH IT FALL! NEVER ENOUGH! NOTHING REMAINS! I FEED THE THING THAT WEARS MY FACE! [Breakdown: half-time tempo, extremely heavy guitar chugs, industrial impacts] EAT. SLEEP. ROT. REPEAT. EAT. SLEEP. ROT. REPEAT. [Sudden silence] [Whisper: barely audible] I'm still hungry. [Final Chorus: massive wall of sound, layered screaming and electronic feedback] NEVER ENOUGH! NEVER ENOUGH! I AM THE MOUTH! I AM THE ROT! NEVER ENOUGH! NEVER ENOUGH! I ATE THE WORLD... AND IT WAS NOT ENOUGH! [Outro: instruments disintegrate into static, low heartbeat, broken tape] (Feed me...) (Feed me...) (There's nothing left.) [End: abrupt cut to silence]
