[Intro] The door swings wide, the morning knows my name Clear head, steady hands, I’m ready for the flame Mount Shasta rising, white against the blue I found the ground that carries me to you [Verse 1] I learned the work, I know the shape of every task No fog around my eyes, no mask behind the mask The signs along the trail are painted red and gold A hawk above the cedar says the story can be told [Pre-Chorus] Follow the river stone Follow the bell in the pine Every lost earth angel Will find the turning sign [Chorus] Welcome back, come through the open wings The whole wide mountain hears the joy we bring Friends on the way, the table’s set with fire We stand together, lifting higher, higher This is the happiest day of my life The clouds break open and the world survives Welcome back, your home is here tonight Follow the signs, step into the light [Verse 2] I used to wake with thunder pressed against my chest Now every breath is mine, and every choice is blessed The black night fell away like ash from an old coat I hear the clear instruction in the raven’s note [Pre-Chorus] Read the circle in the dust Read the feather by the door When the silver river bends You are not lost anymore [Chorus] Welcome back, come through the open wings The whole wide mountain hears the joy we bring Friends on the way, the table’s set with fire We stand together, lifting higher, higher This is the happiest day of my life The clouds break open and the world survives Welcome back, your home is here tonight Follow the signs, step into the light [Breakdown] Mount Shasta, hold the line Keep the ancient heart in time Every road and every star Leads the scattered ones back where they are [Choir] Open wings Open wings You are seen You belong Open wings Open wings Come back home Come back home [Bridge] When the last friend crosses through the gate We’ll raise our hands and celebrate No one walks this road alone We build the future stone by stone A thousand hearts, one common sky A promise wide enough to fly [Final Chorus] Welcome back, come through the open wings The whole wide mountain hears the joy we bring Friends are here, the table’s set with fire We stand together, lifting higher, higher This is the happiest day of my life The clouds break open and the world survives Welcome back, your home is here tonight Follow the signs, step into the light [Outro] Open wings, the mountain knows Open wings, the morning grows Friends arrive, the drums roll on We save the world by carrying one another home
