Psalm 007 – The God Who Judges Justly

+ Show full styles
V4.5

1. My refuge—Lord, I race to You, Pursued by teeth that thirst to tear. If I have robbed my foe or lied, Let darkness take me then—I swear. 2. But if my hands are clean as flame, Arise, O Judge, in righteous fire! Let nations writhe, let evil choke— You see the heart’s concealed mire. 3. My shield—God holds the scales upright, Saves the true from fangs that snap. His sword unsheathed, His bowstring taut— Beware! The trap springs back. 4. The wicked dig a gaping pit, But plunge into their own design. Their violence births their breaking— Your justice thunders through their spine. 5. I will sing of wrath that saves, Of mercy wrapped in iron light. The liar’s tongue will split with lies— But God weighs wrongs and rights.
