Mansion of Madness

MANSION OF MADNESS [Intro — whispered, creaking door] Knock, knock… Come a little closer. Don’t be shy. The last one screamed too. Welcome home. [Verse 1 — dark, playful] Black lace hanging from the ceiling Red wine dripping on the floor Pretty faces in the paintings But they don’t smile anymore Hear the footsteps in the hallway Feel the fingers down your spine Every room has got a secret And the biggest one is mine [Pre-Chorus — tension rising] One, two, three Can you hear the melody? Four, five, six Something wicked in the mix Seven, eight Darling, now it’s much too late Click. [Chorus — explosive bass drop] Welcome to my mansion of madness Where the beautiful go bad Dancing with the ghosts in the attic Having fun we never had Oh-oh, beautiful disaster Hearts are beating twice as fast Welcome to my mansion of madness Once you’re in, you can’t go back! La-la-la, la-la-la Hear the pretty monsters laugh La-la-la, la-la-la Welcome to my mansion of madness! [Verse 2 — rhythmic, seductive] Crystal chandelier is shaking Something’s crawling up the stairs Every mirror shows a stranger With my lipstick and your fears You can run into the garden You can hide beneath the bed But the voices in the wallpaper Know the things you never said [Pre-Chorus] One, two, three Everybody follow me Four, five, six Give the silver lock a twist Seven, eight Hear the music celebrate Too late. [Chorus — bigger, layered vocals] Welcome to my mansion of madness Where the beautiful go bad Dancing with the ghosts in the attic Having fun we never had Oh-oh, beautiful disaster Hearts are beating twice as fast Welcome to my mansion of madness Once you’re in, you can’t go back! [Bridge — music box, whispered] They said this house would drive me crazy… Funny. I built it. Every shadow Every scream Every twisted little dream You thought I was the prisoner? Baby… I’m the queen. [Final Chorus — distorted synths, powerful vocals] WELCOME TO MY MANSION OF MADNESS! Let the walls come crashing down All the monsters in the attic Come and dance around my crown Oh-oh, beautiful disaster Make the nightmare look like heaven Welcome to my mansion of madness And the party’s just beginning! La-la-la, la-la-la Hear the pretty monsters laugh La-la-la, la-la-la WELCOME TO MY MANSION OF MADNESS! [Outro — music cuts, whisper] Oh, one more thing… Don’t open room thirteen. Door slams. Silence.
