Part 2 : "The Gravity of Choice" V6
[Intro – 0:00-0:30 – Solo piano. No other instruments.] [Verse 1-Female voice, Calm, voice alone with synth] Before the first mistake was carved into the stone Before the human heart learned to walk alone There was a rhythm in the tide, a current in the deep A promise that the mountains made, a secret that they keep The laws were written in the light that bends around a star The weight of things, the truth they bring, no matter where you are [Chorus – 0:30-1:00 – Bass + drums only. No guitars. Voice upfront.] [Chorus - Female operatic vocals, choirs] We could hear the equation in the song of the whale (whaaaallle) We could see the geometry drawn by the snail (snaaaaaillll) But the law is perfect, the law is old (oooolllld) A story waiting to be told (tooooll [Prompt 2 – Heavy Section. Thunderclap, distorted guitar riff. However, the metal band will play in short staccato bursts with sudden silences between phrases.] [mezza voce: Female growling voice] “Artisan of The Transgression, we Fall into Chaos…” [Verse 2- Female operatic vocals] We took the perfect circle and we bent it to a square We tried to hold the ocean, we tried to tame the air We said, "The law is for the weak, we'll write our own decree" We built a tower to the sky, but the sky refused to see The gravity we challenged pulled us down into the mud And the forest turned to ashes, and the rivers turned to blood [Bridge – 2:30-3:30 – Orchestra alone, no metal, no vocals. Strings and brass carry the dramatic line.] [Bridge - Operatic Female Vocal, choirs, Orchestra swells, dramatic] YOU CANNOT BREAK THE SILENT VOW! (the silent vow) THE COMPASS POINTS TO SOMETHING NOW! (something now) THE SCALES OF EARTH BEGIN TO TIP! Begin to tip) AND CHAOS FALLS FROM EVERY LIP! (from every lip) [Guitar Solo – 3:30-4:30 – Guitar and voice duet: guitar plays a phrase, voice answers. No other instruments.] [Guitar Solo - 1 minute solo. Starts with fast, technical heavy metal shredding, then gradually becomes more melodic and "weeping" as the orchestra joins in. Ends with a long, sustained high note that fades into feedback.] [Prompt 3 – Finale. Feedback fades to silence. A single cello note (not piano). Sound of rain.] [Female spoken with a whispering voice] “Are we ready for Judgment and the embers of Redemption?” [Verse 3 - Operatic Female Vocal, Piano and voice only] The storm has passed, the fields are bare The evidence is everywhere The law was not a punishment, it was a guiding hand A whisper we could not understand [Final Chorus – 4:30-5:30 – Very slow tempo (half time). Full orchestra and choir, but no drums. Voice and choir only.] [Final Chorus - Operatic Female Vocal, Full Orchestra, Choir, Band] Is there grace within the ruin? A mercy in the stone? Can the broken heart of humanity atone? We search the embers for a spark, a fragment of the whole A tiny crack to let the light back in... And save the human soul! [Outro – 5:30-6:00 – Crackling fire synth only, no music. Fade.] [Outro - Full stop. Silence. Then, very faintly... the sound of synthesizers reproducing the sounds of a crackling fire, just like the intro. The wind. Fade out.] ________________________________________
