[Verse 1]God is highly exalted, seated on the throne.Heavenly angels worship Him alone. He is Lord of all the ages, He rules the starry sky.I can never comprehend why He would save one such as I. [Chorus]God stooped down, took my place, on the cross in such disgrace. He gave up His glorious throne, and angels praised to die alone. [Verse 2]God is glorious and mighty, creator of all things. He's the Holy of Holies, and the King of Kings. He's the Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end.Why He came to earth to die, I can barely understand. [Chorus]God stooped down, and took my place, on the cross in such disgrace. He gave up His glorious throne, and angels praised to die alone. [Outro]God stooped down, took my place, on the cross in such disgrace. He gave up His glorious throne, and angels praised to die alone.I will praise Him all my life, and thank Him for the day, when God stooped down.
