--- Starting the emotional upswing on the "album". In this case the song is about the feeling that it's "Ok to NOT be OK" and how you can take those moments in your life to not let it define you, but to allow yourself a moment of reflection to pause and come back stronger. You don't want to not be OK forever, but acknowledging it rather than avoiding it can be really beneficial. Regrouping isn't weakness, it's a sign of learning and building back up. Tried to get a bit of EDM elements into the song, but it's pretty much just straight modern country, and there's nothing wrong with that either :-) The split Chorus lyrical system is working pretty well, as Suno is reading that as one tempo for the first half and a second tempo for the second half. I like that for added "texture" for the song. Especially since this is supposed to be a rebuilding / more uplifting song. I think it accomplished that well enough. :-) ~David --- [Musical Introduction] [Sparse acoustic guitar, gentle pulse beginning to form underneath] [Verse 1] Some days the noise gets louder than my name Deadlines, headlines, everybody pulling me a different way Smiles feel heavy, answers come out wrong I nod like I’m fine, but I’ve been holding on too long I feel the pressure in my chest at night Like I’m late to a race I never agreed to run in my life [Pre-Chorus] So I slow my steps, I shut the door Put my ear against my own heartbeat once more— [Chorus] It’s okay to not be okay tonight I don’t need fixing, I don’t need saving If I’m quiet, it don’t mean I lost my light I’m not lost, I’m just listening Listening to my breath, my bones, my truth To the parts of me I always push through I’ll rise again, but right now I’m sitting I’m not lost… I’m just listening [Verse 2] Friends say “You good?” and I say “Yeah, yeah” But the mirror knows I’m running on fumes and prayer I’ve been strong for so damn long Even steel gets tired holding all that weight alone I don’t owe the world my fire every day Some nights are for embers, some nights are for staying [Pre-Chorus] I learned that rest ain’t giving in It’s how I remember who I am again— [Chorus] It’s okay to not be okay tonight I don’t need answers, I don’t need winning If I step back, it don’t mean I lost the fight I’m not lost, I’m just listening Listening to my scars and what they knew To the strength it took just to make it through I’ll rise again, but right now I’m sitting I’m not lost… I’m just listening [Musical Interlude] [EDM elements build gently — steady, hopeful, not aggressive — heartbeat energy] [EDM Solo] [Verse 3] Every breakdown taught me where I bend Every silence showed me how to mend I’m not weak for needing space I’m rebuilding at my own damn pace [Bridge] Regrouping isn’t running away It’s sharpening the blade I’ll come back clearer, calmer, brave Stronger from the pause I gave [Final Chorus] It’s okay to not be okay sometimes That don’t mean I’m done or defeated I’ll stand tall again when the time is right I’m not lost, I was just listening Listening turned my cracks to gold Turned “I can’t” into “I still hold” Watch me rise, yeah, I’m still becoming I wasn’t lost… I was learning [Lyrical Outro] So if you see me quiet, don’t assume I’m gone I’m just listening… And I’ll be back strong [Musical Ending] [Acoustic guitar returns, EDM fades warm and steady — resolve, not sadness]
